Fecal coliform bacteria-Randleman Watershed Sampling
Water quality violations of the fecal coliform standard were reported
at five of the nine sampling locations in 1997, with the Muddy Creek
station geometric mean for the five sampling events of 2,158 / 100 mg
/ l - over 10 times the standard of 200 / 100 ml.1
Every sampling location reported fecal coliform values above the
standard.2
Four of eleven sampling locations were in violation of the state
standard during the 1993 testing, with results showing all stations
with fecal coliform values above the standard.3
